Foul (pronounced fool), very traditional Arab breakfast food but soo yummy! There are many different variations from country to country. So this is one variations I learned from Saudi. Small or large is fine.

1. Add 3-4 tbsp of olive oil to a pot and heat. When the oil is ready, add the onion. Let saute around for about 5 minutes. 2. Then add the garlic, cumin, and black pepper. Let that cook for about another 2-3 minutes. 3. Next add the can of fava beans and tomatoes.

Leave and let cook for about 5 -7 minutes. 4. Then add the tahini. Now pay attention to the fava beans at this point for thickness. As you add the tahini, it will thicken. So add until u get desired consistency. Then add salt. Cook for another 5 minutes, then turn off. 5. Spoon out and put into a plate and drizzle with extra olive oil on top. Serve with pita bread. Olives, cheese and labne are also great to go along with it.
